Sufi Practices (Ashgal)

Most Sufi practices are meant to activate the heart, which is the storehouse of love (pure emotion) and the seat of the divine being.  Besides the heart, which is the hub of the life force, a Sufi has to activate other centers of divine energy in his physical body and direct the emotions. These centers are awakened through Sufi practices and the energy released is then channelized through various spontaneous physical movements, using the power of the voice with the breath.  These practices are meant to uncover negative emotions, and remove blockages in the various energy centers to reveal consciousness.

It is a practice that is not limited to any religion, race, colour or creed, but is an invitation to all races and nations to unite together in the ideal of wisdom; Wisdom does not belong to any particular religion or race, but to humanity as a whole.
